Fly Being Tied: Dirty Sunrise
A Trout Spey tube fly.
- Tube HMH small clear 12mm or ½ inch long
- Junction tubing – Heat shrink tube to fit HMH tube, or use the tube that comes in the packet.
- Bead – Pro Sportfisher Tungsten RAW bead. .25gm in this case.
- Thread – black Semperfli 50D nano silk.
- Butt/Tail – Hot orange – Finn Raccoon for clear water- Palmer Chenille for discoloured water.
- Collar No.1 Medium Brown marabou dubbing loop – topped with gold crystal flash. 6 strands.
- Over wing – orange grizzly hackle tips.
- Collar No.2 (In front of the bead) Medium Olive marabou dubbing loop.
- 6-8 Strands Hareline Micro barred voodoo fibres.
My preferred Hook is a Tiemco 201R #6.
